Mediation is increasing in popularity both as a conflict resolution method and as a career choice. More
people and companies are getting involved in mediation, either as clients or as mediators, or sometimes both.
There is a lot to know about mediation, from techniques and models of practice, to theories of conflict
and problem solving. Good training is essential, and quality mediation training that is applicable to a
broad range of professions is hard to find, and usually very expensive.
Seeing a need for quality, comprehensive, affordable training and services, the Northern Colorado Mediation Institute, a division of Smiling Lab Communications Inc., seeks to fill this need.
With a focus on training, the institute provides those interested in learning or expanding mediation and
conflict resolution skills with an experiential opportunity. Additionally, NCMI provides professional
alternative dispute resolution services for businesses, individuals and families.
Our trainers are practicing mediators and conflict managers and members of the Association for Conflict Resolution and the Colorado Council of Mediators and Mediation Organizations (CCMO).
